The search for one’s new man bag, hasn’t exactly been easy this season. Which shape, style, fabrication do I choose from, and more importantly what brand do I put my treasured possessions into.
I trawled through my new favourite accessories e-tailer Opumo, and found a selection of great bags by Mismo, but alas, I wasn’t exactly sure if this was the brand for me this spring / summer, but then a stroke of luck when i stumbled onto the bags section of retail giant Burberry.
A quick peak at their new SS12 accessory pieces , and I was instantly hooked by the Tote bags. The site showcased a great selection fit every eventuality, using the appropriate ethnic prints of the season, o more traditional Italian leathers, with simple embossing.

YSC Shoe Watch - A Clarks Reinvention
Long has Clarks been the shoe retailer, which offer it’s consumer the safe and reliable footwear option, built for durability and often, without a savvy wearer in mind.
In recent years however, the Somerset based brand, have had somewhat of a style overhaul, under the direction of CEO Melissa Potter, who has not only challenged the design team, to create pavement ready shoes with “catwalk” appeal, but also to reinstate Clarks as being a retailer that you can trust.
To turn attention to the men’s shoe market, this has been a slow climb, with the man who takes pride in his step, shunning the doors of Clarks in favour of more expensive brands…but, as the London man becomes more in-tune with past trends, the Desert boot has done for Clarks, what the Birkin has done for Hermes. The tag line of O.R.I.G.I.N.A.L.S now swings with pride as men pound the streets of London.
To keep up with the new found love from the male consumer, a carefully designed selection of menswear sports shoes have been developed for 2012, which have cool kids a gents a little flustered.
Strong colours and clean silhouettes have given this range a contemporary feel that still have the clarks stamp of approval, and stores like Foot Patrol in London have picked up on this, and are celebrating the new range, by stocking them in-store.
I can firmly say that i am willing to put my “best foot forward” in one of these two new styles, and help to reinstate Clarks as a major player in the footwear world :)
